Yosemite Trip
We had our annual Weaver Family Vacation, us, Derek's parents, and his sister and her family. We spent the week in Yosemite National Park and I have to say, it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. If you've never been you must add it to your "places I want to visit before I die" list. Derek and I have already talked about going back during a different season. Aidan, of course, had a great time. He enjoyed getting to see and spend time with his cousin, Owen. Aidan loved playing in the many rivers and streams, we saw several bears(not to up close and personal though!), we saw deer, squirrels and chipmunks(up close and personal), rented bikes, hiked several trails, visited a pioneer village and watched a man shoe a horse, climbed a rock fall at the base of Bridalveil Falls, visited Maripose Grove which is home to a sequoia forest, and overall had a wonderful vacation. Asher had fun as well, of course he was in the carrier on my back most of the time but he seemed to enjoy himself. He was almost a perfect baby on all the plane rides, so that made it easier. Having two grandparents on the plane is also helpful.
It took all of last week for us to get back into the swing of things. We went to the lake this past weekend, not much water there because the power company has pulled so much of it, but we had fun regardless. Aidan starts school next week so he is trying to pack in as much Pops and Namaw time as possible. We are headed to either Atlanta or Huntsville tomorrow. We plan on going to the aquarium or the space and rocket center, just haven't decided which. Nan, Hanlon, Spencer, and Abby are coming to visit Thursday and our cousins Boomer and Heidi are passing through town Saturday. Next week Aidan and Asher have 5yr and 8 month check-ups, which should be fun. Aidan is getting shots for the first time since he was two.I already foresee a trip to the toy store afterwards. Meet the teacher is next Wednesday and then school is the next day. And then our summer is officially over. It's been a fun one! I hope you enjoy the pictures!
