Summertime!

Aidan is a proud graduate of 4 year old preschool! His graduation ceremony was delightful and now we are looking forward to kindergarten. Of course we have to make it through the summer first. Aidan had swimming lessons last week and seemed to learn a few new tricks. He is now able to retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool, tread water and swim under water. He did miss one day of lessons, there is no telling what he could do if he had that one extra class! We missed his Friday lesson because we left Thursday for Indiana. Derek's cousin was graduating from high school and it was time for a visit. We got to spend time with all the cousins, and one we hadn't seen in about 2 years. Aidan got to play with Mary and Kate(two of his favorite people) and Asher got to charm everyone with his smile and chubby cheeks.

Asher did have a first while in Indiana, his first milkshake. Which he enjoyed VERY much. He made a "mmmmm" sound with each bite and then cried if the next bite wasn't in his mouth fast enough. His Mamaw (great grandmother) thought it was cute. He must get his love of milkshakes from her because at one restaurant she ordered the biggest chocolate milkshake I've ever seen and cheese fries for her lunch.

After returning home we are taking it easy. Aidan has spent the past 2 days with Namaw and Pop's and I've done yardwork. Aidan sliced open his big toe yesterday so I spent the evening waiting on his every need. He seems to be better today, at least he is walking with weight on the toe. He really wants to go to a playground but that might have to wait a day or two. We have talked about cleaning out his fish tank so we can buy fish since the tadpole has moved on to a happier place(however, Aidan thinks it is in the pond in the yard, white lies don't hurt when you are 4). Currently the tank is being occupied by Mike(from Monster's Inc), the little know it all boy from Polar Express, a train and two sponge animals that used to be in gel capsules which expand when placed in water. The fish might have to wait.
