Visitors

This weekend brought rain, which we have desperately needed and also relatives from Indiana. They were passing through and stopped to spend the night and visit. Aidan had a great time with Mary, Kate and Kate's friend Ashley. Asher also joined in on the fun. Aidan got to show off his riding(or is it balancing?) ability on his new razor scooter and Asher got to show off his new teeth. I took the girls to the mall while Aidan and Asher charmed Aunt Barb. We had a uneventful dinner, which is saying something because the last time Bret,Barb and the girls joined us at this particular restaurant the waiter spilled a coke or two on a sleeping month old Aidan! It was not a good dinner that night.

My new Ergo baby carrier came in Friday. I first discovered this carrier at VBS when I noticed a mom carrying her baby in one, she carried that child all day, every day. When I inquired about the carrier she talked to me for 20 minutes about how wonderful it was. She is even a member of Magic City Slingers, which is a group of moms that get together to hang-out and talk about their baby carriers. She invited me to a meeting, to check out new carriers and try them out, but I declined. I just wanted a new baby carrier that worked well, not a meeting about it. Anyway, after some internet research I ordered one. It took too long to get shipped(in my opinion) so I called, and sure enough, I was so excited about ordering my new carrier that I had forgotten to fill in my shipping address. I would not have made that mistake before having child number two...did I mention I forgot to pay the power and gas bill last month? Needless to say I got the carrier and Asher and I both love it. Maybe I will go to one of those meetings.....

Today, Derek, the boys, and I went bowling with friends. We had fun despite the fact that every time Aidan throws (yes, throws not rolls) the bowling ball I was waiting for the floor to crack. He gets SO excited if just one pin gets knocked down, he went nuts when he had a few spares.

We had a great weekend. It is still raining -off and on- which I hope will continue. Enjoy the pictures. It's a new format I picked up from another blog(Bret and Erin, Derek's cousins)
