Soccer!

Sorry that I haven't posted in almost a week. We have had a quick week, Aidan adjusting to school and momma adjusting to Aidan being at school. But it has been a good week. We visited Davis and a tired Christy on Monday, Aidan held him and thought he was the sweetest thing. Aidan told me later he was sure his baby brother would be as cute as Davis. Pops picked Aidan up from school Tuesday and they had a big time. When I picked Aidan up from school Wednesday he was walking as if he had injured his foot but I quickly found out that a boy had an accident in the hallway and no one noticed until Aidan got some of the accident on his shoe and made a VERY big (and loud) deal about it. I really thought I was going to have to throw his shoes away but some hot water and a little Lysol seemed to help. He did rant and rave for several hours about the smell and how gross it was that the boy had an accident. This morning, on the way to school, Aidan started talking about it again and how gross it was and we had to have a talk about not bringing this subject up at school because the boy was probably embarrassed and we didn't want to hurt his feelings. Aidan didn't mention it again when I picked him up so maybe he forgot about it for the day.
Tonight was Aidan's first soccer practice. I hope the picture turns out ok. Daddy, Namaw, and Pops went but I had a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society walk-a-thon so I missed his practice. I was told it went great and Aidan said he had fun, which is the most important thing. There were only 2 other kids at practice, one of which is the coach's daughter, so Aidan got a lot of ball time. His first game is in two weeks and that should be interesting. The walk-a-thon was at the Hoover Met and so are Aidan's soccer fields so he ended up walking with me because Namaw and Pops drove by as we were walking and Aidan decided to walk with us. Let me correct that, Aidan walked about 5 minutes and then I carried him on my back the rest of the way. If you are familiar with the Met, we walked from the Met to HW 150 and then back to the Met. Not a bad walk....unless you are 8 months pregnant and carrying a 4 year old piggy back. It really was not bad, Tracy and Wayne(former art teacher and principal from Tarrant), carried him some also. (I have GREAT friends!) We walked on Madison Beck's team, her blog link is on my page, and I'm sure her mom will have pictures posted soon. Be sure and check it out. We had a great time and it was for a great cause.
Aidan and I are leaving for Charleston this Saturday and will be gone a week. It is the annual Weaver Family trip, of course this year it is minus Derek. They will have the first phase lots of the subdivision sold by the end of the month and it is not a good time for him to be gone. I'm not upset, actually, quite the opposite. One less person in the car means more room for me to be able to bring newly bought stuff home! And I've been told there is great shopping in Charleston. I'll be taking a laptop and hopefully I'll be able to post while we are away. If not, look for new stuff a week from Sunday. Have a great weekend!

I was wondering where you have been! I'm glad the walk went good and sorry I couldn't make it. My coworker that sits next to me is a Beck (Madison's Dads cousin) He said the walk was pretty hard so I can't imagine being pregnant and carrying Aidan! Have fun in Charleston. Yes, they do have good shopping!
