Happy Birthday Avery!

Aidan's best buddy,Avery, turned 6 this weekend and we celebrated by going to the Georgia Aquarium. We've been before but this time daddy went with us. Derek had a blast(add sarcasm) he HATES shoulder to shoulder crowds and thats what it was plus some on Saturday. He did see the exhibits but he said it was only because he was taller than everyone. Aidan and Avery saw the exhibits because they were shorter than everyone and snuck past people to get to the front and press their little faces against the glass. They had a great time, Derek did too, he was very impressed by the food(they had a pasta bar-Bret you would have been in heaven!) It was a great day and Avery had a fantastic birthday, he loves the whale sharks(sadly, the two original males died but have been replaced by two new males and we did not share that with Avery. He talks about Trixie, Norton, Alice and Ralph like they are family!)

T-ball is in full swing(haha). Aidan just has a bunch of practices until after Easter but he really enjoys it and he and Derek are going to a baseball clinic hosted by our minor league team, the Birmingham Barons, in a few weeks. Aidan will even get to run the bases on the field.
Asher is doing great, he did not go with us to the aquarium but he got to spend the day with Nan. They played outside most of the day and strolled. His two favorite things, next to raisin bread.
Namaw will be coming home from Seattle later this week and Aidan is overjoyed. He has missed his Namaw. Aidan has gone to play with Pops for the afternoon. He was mad at me when I picked him up from school because he wants to stay for after school care and in his mind, he was staying today. Going to visit Pops was a sure fire "cheer Aidan up move". I'm not sure what he thinks goes on at after school care but he REALLY wants to see for himself. I was late once this year and he stayed long enough for the roll to be called for after school care(he was positive he was going to stay that day) but I showed up before they called his name and he keeps reminding me of the day he ALMOST got to stay. He can be so weird.
