Mmmmm pizza

We made pizza tonight and, as you can see, Asher really enjoyed his. After a full belly, a fun bath, a little play time and a warm bottle of milk he is sleeping soundly. This is a first for the week, Asher in bed before ten. He has had some teething pain(ok, not some, an EXTREME amount of teething pain) this week and going to bed at night has been tough. On him and us. Asher is not the type that has to cry himself to sleep. I lay him in his crib, he rolls over and he goes to sleep. End of story. But this week I've been reminded of what it is like to have a child that doesn't want to go to bed and I am very thankful for Asher's desire to go to bed. Now Aidan is another story. He has been in bed for 45 minutes and I bet he is still awake....ok, I'm wrong, I just checked. He is actually asleep, that is a small miracle. He has also had difficulty going to bed this week. This must be my lucky night! I'd love to stay up and watch some recorded shows but I'm so tired from being up with Asher this week I'm going to bed soon.

The rest of this week is busy. Tomorrow morning I'm having breakfast at school with Aidan, a special Valentine's breakfast. Then I am going with Aidan's class to see "Seussical". Can you figure out what that is about...a Dr. Seuss musical, duh! Derek was asking him about it and Aidan told him it was like a movie but there were real people on the stage and they sometimes sang, and it was about Dr.Seuss. Not a bad explanation. After the play, we are having a Valentine's party for his class. Friday he is out of school so we are going to Chuck E Cheese's for lunch with Avery, I am so excited(did you add the sarcasm to that?). Asher is getting his first haircut Friday. I'll post some pictures. We are also getting my nephew Spencer for a long weekend. Aidan has already started a list of things to do while Spencer is with us so the weekend should be exciting. Monday Aidan is out of school again and my mom is coming up to spend the day and take Spencer back home. Whew, it makes me tired just thinking about it!

Oh, by the way, we had some snow today! Not much, our deck was covered and some parts of the yard. The most exciting part was an icicle Aidan found on the lawnmower this afternoon, it's still in the freezer. Which reminds me, I bet the icicles we found at Christmas are still in Mamaw's freezer-some of you Indiana folks look next time you're there please and let me know. Aidan also thought it was funny when my car doors where frozen shut this morning when we left for school. I wasn't amused.
